The Muffin Stall is an independent baking, confectionery and freshly made food store in Glossop. The lady that owns this already well known business, commonly and lovingly referred to amongst the locals as ‘Nanna Muffin’ was relocating to a more central location and had found the perfect spot at Glossop Outdoor Market on Market Street in Glossop.
The businesses that operate out of Glossop Outdoor Market do so from permanently situated timber frame cabins with an accessible frontage for customers to purchase their goods and wares.
Before Nanna Muffin could move her business permanently into the new premises there was a few hurdles to overcome. Firstly she needed a bit more floor space, an extension of about 2 metres is what she wanted to be exact. Luckily there was already the outside space available and the required permissions in place to do this, so this in itself was going to be a fairly straight forward task.
In addition to this extension she needed some specific changes and additions to allow her business to function within the new space; the floor plan needed modifying slightly and there was some access problems through external doors and up and down steps for customers and with certain pieces of equipment that are required for food storage and preparation and the like.
A few more additions like worktops, counters, additional storage, shelving and usable and accessible sinks were required, as well as some extra lighting and decorative aspects to make the store more usable and visually appealing to her customers.
Nanna Muffin and her staff were an absolute joy to work for and we very much look forward to working with her again on future projects or expansions.
