A lovely couple in Old Glossop contacted us to asked us for a price to remodel their tired and somewhat unsafe and inaccessible dual-level rear garden with retaining wall – we were delighted to oblige. They reported that the surface drainage was poor, the steps were too steep for them to feel confident using and their garden walls were tired, needed rebuilding or replacing and the whole area just wasn’t that pretty to look at.
They wanted us to use natural stone and paving where possible in keeping with the style of property and surrounding area, with additional drainage to keep the area as dry and puddle free as possible throughout the winter months. It was important to them to be able to keep some of the trees and planting that was already in place also, so we were instructed to allow for that if at all possible.
